Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters met for the usual face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually happening.
